1. Scope and purpose of consents
AutoSentinel, developed and operated by INNI (our internal development and operations group), provides monitoring and alerting services related to driver license status, vehicle records, registrations, and insurance events in the United States through authorized data providers. The consents below describe the legal bases and authorizations required to deliver the Service to you, your family or your fleet.
2. DPPA — Driver's Privacy Protection Act (18 U.S.C. § 2721)
You authorize AutoSentinel and its licensed data providers to access motor vehicle records through authorized data providers (including driver license status, history, and registration data) under a permissible use of the DPPA — specifically, in connection with a matter regarding driver safety, fitness, insurance, employment, or with your express consent.
You confirm you are the data subject or have express written authorization from the data subject.
All access is based on permissible use cases under DPPA and requires explicit user authorization.
3. GLBA — Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act
You authorize verification of insurance status and coverage information through authorized financial data providers, where applicable.
4. FCRA — Fair Credit Reporting Act (when applicable)
Where applicable under the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA), you authorize the procurement of consumer reports and motor vehicle reports for employment or fleet compliance purposes.
5. TCPA — Telephone Consumer Protection Act (calls & SMS)
You provide prior express written consent to receive transactional and alert SMS messages and automated voice calls related to monitored items at the phone number you provide. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to unsubscribe; HELP for assistance. Consent to receive marketing messages is not a condition of purchase.
6. Email communications (CAN-SPAM)
You consent to receive transactional email alerts and account communications. Marketing emails are sent only with separate opt-in and include an unsubscribe link in compliance with the CAN-SPAM Act.
7. Push notifications
Where you enable push notifications on a mobile device, you consent to receive alerts about monitored items. You may revoke this consent at any time in the operating system settings of your device.
8. Authorization for third-party monitoring
When you enroll a third party (family member, employee, or driver), you certify that you have obtained explicit, informed consent from any third party prior to enrollment in the service.
9. Data retention
Personal data is retained for the duration necessary to provide the Service and for legally required retention periods under applicable federal and state laws, or as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this policy. You may request deletion of your data subject to legal exceptions (fraud, disputes, statutory retention).
10. Your rights (CCPA / CPRA, state privacy laws)
California residents, and residents of other US states with comparable privacy laws, have the right to access, correct, delete and port their data, to limit the use of sensitive personal information, and to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal data. We do not sell personal information as defined under applicable privacy laws. To exercise these rights, contact support@autosentinel.app.
11. Minors
AutoSentinel is not intended for users under 18. Enrollment of a minor driver requires the express consent of a parent or legal guardian.
12. International data transfers
Data is hosted on US-based cloud infrastructure. If you access the Service outside the United States, your data will be transferred to and processed in United States.
13. Revoking your consent
You may withdraw your consent at any time by writing to support@autosentinel.app or via your account settings, subject to legal, regulatory, or contractual obligations that may require continued limited processing. Revocation does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out prior to revocation and may result in suspension of the Service.
14. No Government or DMV Affiliation
AutoSentinel is a private platform and is not affiliated with any government agency or DMV. All data is obtained exclusively through licensed and authorized third-party data providers.
15. No Legal, Insurance or Financial Advice
Information provided through the Service does not constitute legal, insurance, or financial advice.
